Measures to prolong the life of lithium-ion batteries
To prolong the life of lithium-ion batteries, the following can be done.
- Do not perform over voltage charge, large current charge, large current discharge
- Do not discharge in over discharge
- In terms of preservation,preserve reduced charge amount as much as possible at constant temperature.
Although 1 and 2 cannot be controlled as they are product specifications, 3 can be countermeasures, but if charge amount is reduced recharge is necessary when in use.
Constant temperature preservation does not mean to put lithium-ion batteries in the refrigerator.
Lithium-ion battery cell is ideally kept at about 25°C so as not to cause a short circuit.
Do not leave other lithium-ion batteries at high temperature.
For example, it is effective to prolong the life of lithium-ion batteries by not leaving devices using lithium-ion batteries at a high temperature environment and so on.
